What is CCTV and how is it used?

CCTV - Closed Circuit Television, used in infrastructure and pipe management and inspection. A camera (such as the one on the left) is sent down to feed a live stream to workers to:

  • Detect cracks, blockages, corrosion, leaks, or collapses.
  • Assess damage after disasters, such as floods or earthquakes.
  • Determine whether repairs, re-aligning, or full replacement is necessary.
